Viewpoint buys Springbox for $5.5 million
Austin-based interactive marketing agency Springbox was acquired by Viewpoint Corp. for $5.5 million.
Springbox specializes in digital Web marketing. Its clients have included AMD Inc., Dell Inc., Walt Disney Co. and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Springbox was founded in 2004, and its revenue for 2007 is expected to reach $6 million.
The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
Viewpoint is an Internet marketing technology company that specializes in marketing and advertising. Viewpoint, headquartered in New York, has 100 employees in four cities.

Z'Tejas taps Peer Group to promote new eatery
Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill has hired Peer Group Consulting to assist with marketing, public relations, event planning and promotion.
The Round Rock-based agency is working on grand opening plans for the restaurant chain's newest location at Avery Ranch, which opens Nov. 12, and on Operation Turkey Day, where Thanksgiving Day dinners are served to 500 troops returning from Iraq.
